1. Product Introduction
Although wheat germ accounts for only 2% of the wheat grain, it contains extremely rich proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and some unknown trace bioactive components. It is praised by nutritionists as "nature's nutritional treasure trove for humans" and "the source of human life." Scientific studies have shown that wheat germ can delay aging, reduce blood lipids and cholesterol, soften blood vessels, promote growth and development, improve basal metabolic rate, and enhance physical strength, endurance, and explosive power. It can also prevent cancer, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as skin and reproductive dysfunctions caused by metabolic disorders. Wheat germ is the most physiologically active part of the wheat grain, with high moisture and fat content, especially strong activities of lipase and lipoxygenase. Once separated from the wheat grain, wheat germ quickly spoils and deteriorates, causing a series of problems in storage and application. Therefore, drying wheat germ allows safe transportation and storage, making deep processing and comprehensive utilization of wheat germ a reality.
The CHGF series wheat germ dryer is a specialized device developed by our company to address the easy spoilage of wheat germ. Installed in wheat flour processing workshops, it can immediately dry and deactivate enzymes in fresh wheat germ at low temperatures, fully preserving the nutrition of the wheat germ and enabling long-term storage at room temperature.
This series of equipment dries materials by adding a fluidized bed medium and introducing hot air from the bottom of the container. The material particles are lifted and suspended in a fluidized state by the flowing gas, giving the material fluid-like apparent properties. At the fluidized bed outlet, the dried material is collected. Because the gas and solid particles mix thoroughly inside the fluidized bed, with frequent surface renewal, heat and mass transfer between the two phases is greatly enhanced. Thus, the bed temperature is very uniform, residence time is short, drying rate is high, making it especially suitable for drying heat-sensitive flaky materials.
This series of products has been widely used for drying wheat germ and corn germ.
